Job summary

The YMCA of Three Rivers in Guelph-Wellington is seeking a full-time, permanent cleaning attendant. You will provide a high standard of customer service to participants and ensure all areas are cleaned promptly, including showers, washrooms, floors and surfaces, and will restock towels and supplies.

Work hours are 37.5 per week, Tuesday through Saturday, 4:00pm–12:00am, with an anticipated start date in Sept 2026 and a deadline to apply Oct 2, 2026.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar environment.
• Ability to use various cleaning tools and equipment.
• WHMIS certificate and Standard First Aid with CPR-C and AED are an asset.
• Flexible to support cleaning at the Guelph YMCA.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high standard of customer service to all participants per YMCA standard.
• Ensure all assigned areas are cleaned promptly and regularly.
• Clean showers, washrooms, floors and hard surfaces; refill dispensers; stock supplies.
• Wash/dry and restock towels; attend trainings and staff meetings.
• Physical requirements include climbing stairs, some exertion and lifting up to 50 lbs.
