Job summary

District School Board Ontario North East is seeking a full-time custodian to maintain school facilities. The role operates 3:00pm–11:00pm, 40 hours/week, ensuring a safe, clean, and healthy environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Requirements include reading safety documents, writing routine reports, and a current WHMIS certificate. Experience in custodial work is preferred. Salary aligns with CUPE collective agreement at $28.45 per hour.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to use cleaning materials and equipment with skill and efficiency, perform medium to heavy physical labor with assistance.
• Must have physical ability to perform medium to heavy work tasks.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Current WHMIS certificate.
• Experience in custodial work is preferred.
