About The EVolveSkills Project

EVolveSkills is a forward-thinking, national initiative led by Achēv, designed to support Canada’s transition to a low-carbon economy by training and upskilling current automotive industry employees in Electric Vehicle (EV) repair and maintenance, and engage with and support new career entrants exploring the automotive field with the goal of reducing potential labour market shortages and enhancing the skills of Canada’s workforce. This project aims to train over 1300 participants across Ontario, British Columbia, and Nova Scotia. EVolveSkills not only focuses on building a future-ready workforce but also strengthens employer capacity to meet evolving industry demands.

Position Overview

TheEV Training Success Advisor will play a central role in coordinating project activities, strengthening engagement with partners, and enhancing the overall participant experience across participating provinces. Working closely with small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), training institutions, community-based organizations, industry associations and project partners including Vancouver Community College, Nova Scotia Community College, Mohawk College, Durham College, Sheridan College, ISANS, DIVERSEcity and Plug’N Drive, the EV Training Success Advisor will help ensure smooth program delivery, alignment of activities, and strong collaboration across multiple stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate collaboration and engagement among project partners, training providers, and employers across Ontario, British Columbia, and Nova Scotia.
  • Support the coordination and alignment of partner-led training, employment activities, and program deliverables.
  • Co-host onboarding, check-in, and wrap-up sessions for training cohorts, employers, and participant-facing teams.
  • Support curriculum alignment by maintaining effective communication with training providers and employers.
  • Document best practices, stakeholder feedback, and lessons learned to support quality assurance and continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate the delivery of micro-credentialing programs, partner-led training sessions, events, and knowledge-exchange activities.
  • Act as a liaison between internal project teams, external partners, and the Program Manager to ensure consistent communication and program execution.
  • Maintain accurate records of meetings, deliverables, milestones, and participant engagement to support program evaluation and reporting.
  • Travel across the GTA and rural Ontario as needed to support in-person events and partner activities.

Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in Social Sciences, Adult Education, Community Engagement, Workforce Development, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in program coordination, facilitation, stakeholder engagement, or training-related roles.
  • Strong background in training delivery, relationship management, or curriculum coordination is preferred.
  • Proven ability to work with diverse stakeholder groups and multi-partner projects, preferably in cross-provincial settings.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with workforce development initiatives, Canada’s green economy, or the EV/automotive sector is an asset.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Zoom, MS Teams, and collaborative project management tools.
