Job summary

Ford of Canada is seeking an experienced engineer to lead embedded software test automation with hardware-in-the-loop. You will join the EVDD team and help maintain test environments, troubleshoot CI/CD issues, and contribute to hardware/software solutions.

A hybrid work model is available with onsite four or more days per week. The role requires a bachelor’s in a relevant field and at least three years of automotive tech experience, Linux, scripting, and CI/CD tooling such as GitHub Actions or

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or a related field.
Minimum 3 years experience in embedded software test automation lab with hardware-in-the-loop.
Minimum 3 years experience with automotive technologies, protocols and tools.
Solid understanding of Linux commands and bash scripting; SSH.
Experience with CI/CD systems and source control (GitHub).
Experience with defect tracking (JIRA).

Responsibilities

Provision new automation nodes to increase capacity.
Ensure health of existing automation nodes and devices under test to guarantee uninterrupted test execution.
Troubleshoot CI/CD pipeline issues.
Maintain and contribute to hardware/software solutions and build systems.
Learn from others on the team and mentor teammates.
Help scale Ford's security testing capacity.
