DUTIES

The 4-month instructor will work full-time alongside the director, assistant director, and other staff. Responsibilities include organizing materials and resources, curriculum development, and teaching. Summer camps will run from July to August. In addition to curriculum development and teaching, instructors will address student behavior issues, develop the magic show, and engage with campers during breaks and lunchtime activities. Workshops in elementary schools will be conducted in May and June.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Current TRU student in a degree program, preferably with some science background
  • Experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong work ethic and team player
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Organizational skills at personal and event levels
  • Creative thinking and ability to think "outside the box"
  • Valid driver’s license and own vehicle are assets
