ETL Developer Location : Markham / Hybrid : 3 days in office Contract Duration : 6 months Top Skills Required

• Proven experience as an ETL Developer using Informatica PowerCenter (10.5.7) and Informatica BDM
• Strong background as a Database Developer with hands-on experience in DDL and DML for relational databases
• Expertise in writing complex SQL queries for Adhoc reporting

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes for finance systems
• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries and stored procedures in PostgreSQL
• Monitor and troubleshoot daily / monthly ETL jobs
• Collaborate with finance and insurance teams to ensure data integrity and accuracy
• Build Adhoc reports based on business requirements
• Perform data analysis and resolve data-related issues
• Implement data quality checks and validation processes
• Develop complex finance calculations using PostgreSQL stored procedures or ETL
• Monitor and enhance ETL and database performance
• Document technical specifications and maintain ETL / database documentation
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices

Requirements

• Experience in the insurance industry and familiarity with underwriting data
• Background in supporting finance systems
• Proficiency with Informatica PowerCenter and Informatica BDM
• Strong SQL skills and experience with DDL / DML
• Experience with Control-M , ASG ZENA , and Unix scripting
• Familiarity with reporting tools like SAP Business Objects and Qlik Reporting
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Experience with Agile methodology and JIRA
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to draft and interpret business requirement documents
• Comfortable working independently and in a team

Preferred Qualifications

• Informatica Certified Professional (ICP) or Foundation Level Certifications (IDMC, CDCG, MDM, etc.)
