Job summary

Astra-North Infoteck Inc. is looking for an ETL Data Tester to join our data engineering team in Toronto. You will test end-to-end ETL processes, validate data mappings and business rules, and design test scripts for data integrity across data warehouses.

You will write advanced SQL queries, work with UNIX/Linux environments for validation, and collaborate with developers and analysts to resolve defects. Prior Informatica knowledge and Python automation are strong advantages.

Qualifications

• Experience testing ETL processes and data pipelines for data warehouses.
• Ability to validate data mappings, transformations and business rules.
• Proficient SQL skills and comfort with UNIX/Linux environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end testing of ETL processes and data warehouse solutions.
• Validate source-to-target data mappings, transformations and rules.
• Design, develop and execute test cases for data validation.
• Execute data reconciliation, completeness and integrity checks.
• Write complex SQL queries for data analysis and defect investigation.
• Use UNIX/Linux commands for file validation and batch monitoring.
• Collaborate with developers, analysts and stakeholders to resolve defects.
• Support defect tracking, root cause analysis and test reporting.
• Exposure to Informatica workflows and ETL jobs is preferred.
• Experience with Python automation for testing and reporting is advantageous.
