Job summary

AWC Water Solutions Ltd. is seeking an experienced Intermediate Estimator to develop accurate cost estimates for water and wastewater projects and related industrial solutions.

You will independently manage bids, collaborate with sales and engineering, and review technical drawings to refine project pricing. The role requires 3–5 years of estimating experience, post-secondary education in a technical field, and familiarity with InEight or similar tools.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of related estimating experience in manufacturing, fabrication, engineering, construction, or water/wastewater environment.
• Post-secondary education in Engineering, Construction, Business, or a related technical discipline.
• Familiarity with InEight or similar estimating software is considered an asset.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed and comprehensive cost estimates and budgetary pricing for standard and moderately complex bid projects.
• Independently manage estimates from initial review through completion and handover.
• Collaborate with sales and applications engineers to define project requirements, scope, assumptions, exclusions, and strategies.
• Review bid packages, process drawings, and technical documentation to identify requirements, risks, and cost impacts.
• Prepare material, labour, subcontractor, equipment, fabrication, machining, and other cost estimates.
