Live Local, Work Local with G&E

An exciting opportunity exists at G&E Contracting LP for an experienced Estimator/Project Manager due to an upcoming retirement. This full-time position is based at G&E’s Langford yard in Victoria, with projects located throughout the local area, and reports directly to the General Manager.

G&E Contracting LP, established in 1979, is a leading civil contracting and excavation company specializing in bulk and detailed excavation, site preparation, and underground utility installation. We have proudly served the construction industry for over four decades.

The Successful Candidate Shall Have The Following Qualifications

  1. Minimum five (5) years in a similar estimating/ project manager capacity.
  2. Relevant experience in civil/underground/mechanical construction.
  3. Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract is required.
  4. Excellent communication skills with clients & crew members.
  5. Firm grasp on job costing & change management.
  6. Dedicated, committed and safety conscious.
  7. Strong MS Office skillset.

Job Duties Include The Following

  1. Communication with Supervisors, Foreman and other Project Managers regarding project needs and performance.
  2. Issuing purchase orders and subcontracts as required.
  3. Creating and maintaining project schedules.
  4. Liaising with clients and attending site meetings as required.
  5. Seeking out new work and tenders and attending pre-tender meetings.
