You can assess complicated commercial situations, explain options and trade-offs, negotiate effectively and give executives clear recommendations. You have led multidisciplinary or matrixed teams and can establish accountabilities, develop capability and resolve issues across organizational boundaries. You bring discretion and sound judgement to sensitive, high-profile decisions.

Critical Experience Requirements:

  • At least 10 years of progressive experience across commercial management, financial management, supply chain management, strategic procurement and contract management, preferably on large-scale capital infrastructure programs.
  • A university degree in Engineering and/or Business together with an industry-specific designation, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
  • Expert capability in contract management, strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, commercial negotiation and mediation.

  • Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, conflict resolution and change management.
  • Knowledge of major infrastructure delivery concepts and procurement models.
  • Political acuity and discretion in high-profile, time-sensitive environments.
Responsibilities:

  • Support claim avoidance, early dispute resolution and complex commercial negotiations.
  • Integrate commercial and financial analysis into program decisions, governance gates and risk assessments.
  • Collaborate on procurement strategies, supplier matters, contract administration and contract changes.
  • Maintain accurate, auditable commercial records and decision documentation.
  • Clarify decision rights, accountabilities, resource requirements and escalation paths.
