Job summary

Ledcor is seeking an Estimator with 3-7 years of construction experience to grow in a collaborative team in the Kelowna area. The role covers commercial, residential, and light industrial estimates, with responsibilities from take-offs to bid submissions.

You will review drawings and specs, perform quantity take-offs, and help prepare accurate estimates while coordinating with estimators, project teams, and suppliers. Office-based position in Kelowna.

Qualifications

• 1–5 years of estimating, project coordination, or related construction experience.
• Experience reading construction drawings, specifications, and other project documentation.
• Exposure to quantity take-offs, construction pricing, budgeting, and the tendering process.

Responsibilities

• Support subcontractor and supplier solicitation, review quotes, and assist with bid comparisons and selections.
• Review drawings, specifications, and project documents to support the preparation of accurate and competitive estimates.
• Complete quantity take-offs and pricing across various scopes of work, maintaining clear and accurate estimating documentation.
• Assist with RFIs, bid requirements, scope reviews, and the preparation of tender submissions.
• Work closely with estimators, project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather pricing and project information.
• Participate in site visits, estimate reviews, and pre-award meetings while continuing to build knowledge of construction costs and estimating practices.

Description

You’re an Estimator with 3-7 years of construction experience and an interest in growing your estimating career. You have exposure to quantity take-offs, cost analysis, subcontractor pricing, and bid preparation and enjoy working as part of a collaborative team.

You’ll support the preparation of accurate and competitive estimates for commercial, residential, and light industrial construction projects.

• Review drawings, specifications, and project documents to support the preparation of accurate and competitive estimates
• Complete quantity take-offs and pricing across various scopes of work, maintaining clear and accurate estimating documentation

• Work closely with estimators, project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather pricing and project information

Qualifications

• 1–5 years of estimating, project coordination, or related construction experience, ideally within commercial, residential, or light industrial construction
• Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Estimating, Engineering, or a related field
• Experience reading construction drawings, specifications, and other project documentation
• Exposure to quantity take-offs, construction pricing, budgeting, and the tendering process
• Experience with MS Office and estimating software such as On-Screen Takeoff (OST); BIM experience is considered an asset
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills with an interest in continuing to develop your estimating knowledge

Compensation

$63,600.00 - $87,450.00

This is the expected base pay range for this role. Individual base pay will be determined based on a variety of factors including experience, knowledge, skills, education and location.
