Job summary

Ledcor Group is seeking an Estimator to support preparation of accurate, competitive estimates for commercial, residential, and light industrial construction. You will review drawings, perform quantity take-offs, and assist with bid submissions in collaboration with project teams and subcontractors.

You will gain exposure to cost analysis, pricing strategies, and tendering processes while contributing to Ledcor’s reputable track record across North America.

Qualifications

• 1–5 years of estimating, project coordination, or related construction experience.
• Experience reading drawings, specifications, and other project documentation.
• Exposure to quantity take-offs, construction pricing, budgeting, and tendering process.
• Experience with estimating software such as OST; BIM is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support subcontractor and supplier solicitation, review quotes, and assist with bid comparisons and selections.

• Complete quantity take-offs and pricing across various scopes of work, maintaining clear estimating documentation.
• Assist with RFIs, bid requirements, scope reviews, and tender submissions.
• Work closely with estimators, project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather pricing and project information.
• Participate in site visits, estimate reviews, and pre-award meetings while expanding knowledge of estimating practices.

You’re an Estimator with 1-5 years of construction experience and an interest in growing your estimating career. You have exposure to quantity take-offs, cost analysis, subcontractor pricing, and bid preparation and enjoy working as part of a collaborative team. You’ll support the preparation of accurate and competitive estimates for commercial, residential, and light industrial construction projects.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Support subcontractor and supplier solicitation, review quotes, and assist with bid comparisons and selections
• Review drawings, specifications, and project documents to support the preparation of accurate and competitive estimates
• Complete quantity take-offs and pricing across various scopes of work, maintaining clear and accurate estimating documentation
• Assist with RFIs, bid requirements, scope reviews, and the preparation of tender submissions
• Work closely with estimators, project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather pricing and project information
• Participate in site visits, estimate reviews, and pre-award meetings while continuing to build knowledge of construction costs and estimating practices

Qualifications:

• 1-5 years of estimating, project coordination, or related construction experience, ideally within commercial, residential, or light industrial construction
• Post‑secondary education in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Estimating, Engineering, or a related field
• Experience reading construction drawings, specifications, and other project documentation
• Exposure to quantity take-offs, construction pricing, budgeting, and the tendering process
• Experience with MS Office and estimating software such as On‑Screen Takeoff (OST); BIM experience is considered an asset
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills with an interest in continuing to develop your estimating knowledge
