Job summary

Anthem Properties is seeking an estimating professional to join a collaborative team responsible for budgeting, pricing, and cost control on residential construction projects. The role supports multiple departments and interacts with subcontractors and vendors to ensure accurate, timely estimates.

Ideal candidates have at least one year in a similar role, strong communication, and attention to detail. The team emphasizes growth, mentorship, and a commitment to quality in Alberta and beyond.

Qualifications

• 1 year minimum experience in a similar role (bonus for single family housing)
• Familiarity with budgeting, cost tracking, and purchase order processes in residential construction
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• A team spirit attitude and strong organizational skills
• Extremely detail-oriented with strong budgeting discipline

Responsibilities

• Engage in daily estimating team activities and output management of job files
• Prepare budgets, pricing, and documentation systems
• Maintain relationships with sub-contractors and vendors through clear communication
• Stay current with construction industry changes and innovations
• Support Sales, Construction, Interior Design and Design departments to streamline workflows
• Complete pricing requests, extras, and options for internal teams
• Assist in maintaining the price book, housing specs and scopes of work
• Assist in job preparation including preliminary pricing
• Issue purchase orders and RFQs aligned with construction schedule
• Support continuous improvement of procedures and software initiatives

• Stay current with changes and innovations within the construction industry
• Support Sales, Construction, Interior Design and Design departments to facilitate internal workflows.
• Complete pricing requests and requests for extras and optionsfor internal teams
• Assist in the maintenance and updating of the price book and of housing specs and scopes of work
• Assist in job preparation including preliminary pricing
• Issue purchase orders and request for quotes in alignment with the construction schedule
• Support continuous improvement of procedures and software initiatives for maintaining efficiency
