Job summary

PCL Constructors is seeking a Chief Estimator to lead the estimating function for Ontario infrastructure projects. The role drives bid strategy, cost estimation, and collaboration with operations, engineering, and procurement to secure high-value contracts.

You will mentor a team of estimators, influence project selection, and work with executive leadership on complex pursuits. Prior heavy civil experience and strong software skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of estimating experience within heavy civil construction.
• Experience delivering estimates for large infrastructure, transportation, rail, or complex civil projects.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, productivity, costing, procurement, and risk management.
• Experience leading estimating teams and developing high-performing professionals.
• Ability to communicate confidently with executives, operations teams, consultants, and subcontractors.
• Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Proficiency with industry-standard estimating software and Microsoft Office.
• A degree or diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
