We are seeking an Estimating Student for our BC Region district - Kelowna Office, within our Canadian Buildings Division. This position is available for 4-12 months starting in September 2025 and will be under the supervision of the Estimator.

Here's how an Estimating Student contributes to our team:

• Understanding and utilizing PCL's estimating manuals, systems, and forms
• Reviewing quantity survey assignments with the lead estimator or Chief Estimator
• Performing assigned quantity surveys
• Providing quantities of major purchase items to the purchasing department for pricing
• Transferring quantities to the lead estimator
• Managing bid document control
• Performing bid day assignments
• Visiting job sites periodically
• Developing relationships with subcontractors

Qualifications

• A strong desire to work in a construction environment; prior field construction experience is an asset
• Proficiency with computer software including word processing, spreadsheets, and drafting

Pay Range: $20.20 - $26

PCL student wages are determined individually based on completed school terms, relevant work experience, role, and location.
