Responsibilities

• Understanding and utilizing PCL’s estimating manuals, systems, and forms.
• Reviewing quantity survey assignments with the lead estimator or Chief Estimator.
• Performing assigned quantity surveys.
• Providing quantities of major purchase items to the purchasing department for pricing.
• Transferring quantities to the lead estimator.
• Performing general subtrade solicitation duties.
• Managing bid document control.
• Performing bid day assignments.
• Visiting job sites periodically.
• Developing relationships with subcontractors.
• Other duties as assigned by the Chief Estimator.

Qualifications

• Candidates must have a strong desire to work in a construction environment; prior field construction experience is an asset.
• Proficiency in various computer software programs, including word processing, spreadsheet applications, and drafting, is required.

Pay Range : $20-$26

PCL student wages are determined individually based on the number of completed school terms, relevant work terms, role, and work location.
