ABOUT THE LUNG HEALTH FOUNDATION
Imagine a future where people living with lung cancer have a fighting chance. Where no one loses a loved one to asthma. Where people with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) live life to the fullest. Where older adults maintain their independence. And where future generations are spared the debilitating effects of lung disease.
At the Lung Health Foundation (LHF), we’re committed to making that future a reality—starting now.
Our Mission
We work to improve the lung health of Canadians through:
  • Groundbreaking research
  • Policy and practice change
  • Urgently needed programs and support
  • Public education on critical lung health issues
At the core of our mission? Helping those impacted by lung disease.
MAKE A LASTING DIFFERENCE WITH YOUR LEGAL EXPERTISE
About the Campaign
Many Canadians do not have a valid will or power of attorney. Our Will Campaign empowers individuals to take this critical step—while also considering the impact of leaving a charitable legacy. We’re inviting estate lawyers and law firms across Canada to join us in this mission.
Your Role
As a volunteer lawyer, you’ll provide estate planning services—including wills, powers of attorney, and guidance on charitable bequests. Participating lawyers may offer these services at a reduced rate, with the option to donate the value of the service back to the Lung Health Foundation. This is a meaningful contribution that helps fund lung health initiatives—while introducing you to a wider network of potential clients who prioritize thoughtful planning and philanthropy.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice and support on Wills and Powers of Attorney.
  • Offer clear guidance on charitable bequests, if appropriate for the client.
  • Ensure legal documents meet provincial standards.
  • Help clients understand their estate planning options.
  • Collaborate with the Lung Health Foundation to promote planned giving.
Please Note: This is a volunteer opportunity. No compensation will be provided by the Lung Health Foundation. Importantly, individuals do not need to leave a legacy gift to the Lung Health Foundation to access or benefit from this program. The goal is to make will planning more accessible, with no obligation attached.
