Job description

Esports Producer - Student Work Study job opportunities open to full-time Fanshawe College students who qualify for the Work Study Bursary program.
Temporary Part-Time, September 2025 - April 2026

Up to 20 hours per week

This opportunity is supported through The Work Study Employment Program, which is designed to provide work opportunities to Fanshawe College full-time post-secondary or post diploma students with a demonstrated financial need.

Eligible Students
•Domestic Students at Fanshawe College must be a full-time registered student, and meet financial needs assessment criteria http://bursaries.fanshawec.ca

•International Students at Fanshawe College must be registered as a full-time student, and have a valid study permit and Social Insurance Number

•Must be in good academic standing according to program requirements.


If approved, the Work Study Employment Program will help Fanshawe Student Union financially to employ students over the fall and winter term.

Esports Producer

The Esports Producer supports the live broadcast operations of the Fanshawe Fuel esports program by overseeing the technical and production aspects of streaming competitive matches and events. Working closely with the on-air team and esports community, the Producer ensures high-quality, engaging content is delivered via Twitch and other platforms. This role requires strong communication skills, a solid understanding of esports broadcasting, and the ability to troubleshoot and adapt in a fast-paced, live production environment. The ideal candidate is passionate about esports, highly organized, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

This is a part-time Work Study position designed for full-time Fanshawe College students.

Job Duties

  • Produce and manage live broadcasts for all Fanshawe Fuel esports events on Twitch.
  • Operate and monitor streaming software and equipment during live events.
  • Coordinate with on-air talent, players, and event staff to ensure seamless production.
  • Set up and test all technical components before each stream, including audio, video, and overlays.
  • Tear down and store production equipment post-stream, maintaining a clean and organized space.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues in real-time and implement on-the-fly solutions.
  • Support the development of broadcast graphics, stream layouts, and scene transitions.
  • Maintain communication with the Esports Coordinator and production team for scheduling and planning.
  • Assist with post-production tasks as needed, such as archiving streams or clipping highlights.
  • Represent the Fanshawe Fuel program professionally in all online and in-person interactions.
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Must be a full-time Fanshawe College student approved for the Work Study program
  • Experience with esports broadcasting and stream production.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, live production environment.
  • Ability to multitask, adapt quickly, and problem-solve on the fly.
  • Passion for esports, including knowledge of the games, players, and community.
  • Access to a high-quality personal computer and streaming software.
  • Experience competing in esports and/or working with live production teams is considered an asset.
