Job summary

Teck Resources Limited in Vancouver is seeking an experienced UI/UX Fiori Developer to craft, develop, configure, and support SAP user experiences across SAP Fiori, SAPUI5, and SAP Build Work Zone on SAP BTP. You will help deliver scalable, secure SAP applications aligned with S/4HANA guidelines and Clean Core principles.

You will collaborate with architects, functional consultants, and technical teams to implement, upgrade, and operate these solutions, while supporting integrations with S/4HANA

Qualifications

Role Overview

Reporting to the ERP UI/UX Development Specialist, the UI/UX Fiori Developer crafts, develops, configures, and supports SAP user experiences. These solutions include modern SAP and cloud-based platforms like SAP S/4HANA and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). This role delivers scalable, secure, and high-performing SAP Fiori, SAPUI5, SAP Build Work Zone and BTP applications that enable efficient business processes, improve user adoption, and support digital transformation initiatives.

Working closely with business collaborators, solution architects, functional consultants, and technical teams, the developer translates business requirements into innovative technical solutions aligned with SAP Clean Core principles, SAP UX strategy, and S/4HANA guidelines. The role supports implementations, improvements, upgrades, and ongoing production operations while bringing to bear SAP Build Work Zone, RAP, CAP, and cloud-native development capabilities.

This position requires deep expertise in SAP Fiori, SAPUI5, SAP BTP services, and SAP S/4HANA integration, combined with strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaborator engagement skills.

This is an initial one-year contract.

Responsibilities

Safety & Compliance

• Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
• Follow secure development practices and adhere to audit, process updates, and segregation of duties (SoD) requirements.
• Ensure application builds meet enterprise security, access control, identity verification, and compliance standards.
• Define and follow SAP Fiori, SAPUI5, and BTP development standards aligned with Clean Core principles.
• Provide technical design guidance for user experience, cloud integrations, application development, and extensibility solutions.
• Collaborate with solution architects and functional leads to ensure developments align with enterprise architecture and SAP product roadmaps.
• Participate in workshops dedicated to solution development, technical reviews, and architecture assessments.
• Provide effort estimates, technical impact assessments, and implementation recommendations.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and adoption of SAP guidelines.

SAP Fiori, UI5 & BTP Development

• Develop, enhance, and support SAP Fiori and SAPUI5 applications.
• Configure and administer SAP Fiori Launchpad, including Spaces, Pages, Catalogs, Groups, Roles, Tiles, and Target Mappings.
• Configure, deploy, and support SAP Build Work Zone - Standard Edition solutions.
• Design and develop Work Zone Cards and UI Integration Cards.
• Develop applications using SAP RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming Model) and CAP (Cloud Application Programming Model).
• Build, expose, and consume OData V2 and OData V4 services.
• Develop SAP Fiori Elements applications applying CDS Views and CDS annotations.
• Employ SAP's BAS tool together with services from the SAP Business Technology Platform for building and deploying applications.
• Apply SAP UX and Fiori design standards to ensure consistent and intuitive user experiences.
• Develop reusable, scalable, and maintainable application components.

Integration & Solution Enablement

• Integrate SAP Fiori and SAP BTP applications with SAP S/4HANA and other enterprise systems.
• Design and support APIs, OData services, and SAP Gateway integrations.
• Configure and manage BTP connectivity, destinations, authentication, authorization, and communication arrangements.
• Support integration scenarios involving SAP Build Work Zone, SAP S/4HANA, and cloud applications.
• Collaborate with functional and integration teams to design end-to-end business solutions.
• Ensure data consistency, system stability, and transactional integrity across integrated applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 7-10 years of SAP technical development experience.
• Strong hands-on expertise in working with SAP Fiori applications and UI5 components.
• Experience coordinating SAP Fiori Launchpad components such as Spaces, Pages, Catalogs, Roles, Tiles, and Target Mappings.
• Experience configuring and supporting SAP Build Work Zone - Standard Edition.
• Hands-on experience developing Work Zone Cards and UI Integration Cards.
• Strong experience with SAP RAP and CAP development frameworks.
• Expertise in OData V2/V4 services, CDS Views, CDS Annotations, and Fiori Elements.
• Experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP) and Business Application Studio.
• Experience integrating SAP Fiori and BTP applications with SAP S/4HANA.
• Strong ability to fix, using well developed analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience delivering SAP solutions within enterprise-scale SAP S/4HANA environments.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage collaborators at multiple levels.
• Experience participating in solution design, technical reviews, deployment planning, and production support activities.
• Proven ability to build, develop, implement, and maintain business-critical SAP applications and integrations.

Nice-to-Have

• SAP S/4HANA implementation or support experience.
• Knowledge of ABAP, SAP Gateway, and backend enablement services.
• Experience with SAP BTP destinations, connectivity, identity verification, access control, and security concepts.
• Exposure to SAP Identity Authentication Service (IAS) and Identity Provisioning Service (IPS).
