Halton Healthcare in Georgetown, Ontario is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Program-Based Float Pool within the Emergency Program. The role supports safe staffing across designated units and sites, with day/night 12-hour shifts and a 0.60 FTE availability for part-time permanent work.

Qualificações

• Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Current Heart & Stroke approved Basic Life Support certification required at time of hire.
• ACLS certificate preferred at time of hire or acquire within 6 months.
• Recent clinical experience in Emergency Department.
• Ability to work across multiple units and sites, as required.
• Strong patient assessment, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making skills.

Responsabilidades

• Provide safe, patient- and family-centred nursing care within the assigned program.
• May work across designated units and sites based on operational need and assignment.
• Support staffing needs related to vacancies, sick calls, leaves of absence, education, surge, onboarding, and other program priorities.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, identify changes in patient condition, and escalate changes.
• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures in accordance with hospital policies, professional standards, and applicable legislation.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, allied health, support services, patients, families, and leaders to support quality care and positive patient outcomes.
