Overview

Atrium Research is looking to hire an Equity Research Analyst to join our team and support our metals and mining coverage. Candidates will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals and clients in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Atrium Research is a leading equity research firm founded in 2022 which provides institutional quality company sponsored research on North American public equities using deep fundamental analysis. Our investment philosophy takes a long-term view on equities currently being overlooked by the market. Our research process emphasizes understanding the key performance metrics for each specific company, trustworthy management teams, and an in-depth valuation analysis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and edit research reports on small-cap equities in the metals and mining sector using fundamental analysis across initiation reports, research notes, research flashes, and thematic research reports
  • Develop and maintain in-depth financial models, including financial statement modelling, valuation, and comparative analysis
  • Collect and organize relevant data from various sources, including financial statements, industry reports, and market data
  • Complete ad-hoc research requests and support analysts in all aspects of the research process
  • Assist Atrium’s leadership team with certain operational tasks upon request
Qualifications and Skills
  • 3+ years of experience in equity research, investment banking, investment management, mine engineering, or geology
  • University degree with a focus in Geology, Mining Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Strong accounting, financial modelling, and analytical skills
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and manage several ongoing projects
  • Prior internship or coursework in finance or equity research is a plus
  • Genuine interest in financial markets and investment analysis
