Job summary

The University of Alberta is seeking a Research Project Coordinator to support a portfolio of provincial research projects focused on equity in emergency care. You will coordinate study activities, supervise data collection, and liaise with investigators, while ensuring compliance with regulations and data governance.

The role requires a post-secondary degree in a related field and a willingness to travel; a graduate degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree in a related field (e.g. social sciences, Indigenous studies, public health).
• Graduate degree preferred; equivalent education/experience may be considered.
• Experience working with Indigenous organizations or community-based groups is an asset.
• Knowledge of Indigenous research methods and anti-racism theory is an asset.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate initiation of research study protocol, ensuring alignment with policies and TCPS2.
• Prepare ethics board amendments as required and coordinate data collection.
• Conduct qualitative and quantitative data collection and coordinate analysis.
• Maintain accurate records while safeguarding subject confidentiality.
• Coordinate advisory boards, meetings, and travel required by the project.
