Job summary

TAIBU Community Health Centre in the Greater Toronto Area seeks a primary health care physician to deliver clinical assessments, diagnosis, treatment and follow-up within an equity-based framework.

The role includes health promotion, collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team, and participation in community outreach, with on-call duties and commitment to anti-racist practices.

Ontario licensure is required; CCFP credentials are welcomed. HOOPP benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Academic requirements include medical degree and license to practice in Ontario.
• Certificate of good standing from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.
• Malpractice coverage is required; CCFP credentials are an asset.
• Preferred 3–5 years of primary care experience in a community health setting.
• Experience in program development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Perform assessment, diagnosis, treatment, health education and follow-up within scope of practice.
• Provide medical crisis intervention and triaging as needed.
• Collaborate with TAIBU programs and external agencies to support care.
• Attend meetings and case conferences; contribute to program development and outreach.
• Support health promotion initiatives and equity-based practice.
