Job summary

BMO Financial Group in Toronto is seeking a markets-based sales and trading professional to provide client support, liquidity, and strategic market insights. The role requires CIRO licences and a CSI Trader Training completion within six months.

Raising client value through tailored trading strategies, pricing, and risk-aware recommendations while coordinating with trading, research, and marketing teams."

Qualifications

• Typically between 4 - 6 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Degree in Accounting/Economics/Mathematics/Statistics, CFA preferred.
• Working knowledge of financial markets with exposure to the financial markets and/or analysis.
• Solid understanding of trading or sales procedures and regulatory concepts.
• Must hold or be eligible to obtain CIRO Registered Representative licences for the applicable branch and jurisdiction.
• Complete CSI Trader Training Course within six months.

Responsibilities

• Responds to inquiries from clients, regulatory agencies, or business community members in a professional manner.
• Provides competitively priced liquidity to corporate, institutional, and interbank clients; quotes hedging advice and market information.
• Supports sales activities with trading strategies and market information tailored to client needs.
• Develops strong market knowledge to provide comprehensive service and develop solutions.
• Reads and interprets technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents for client needs.
• Coordinates with stakeholders to execute strategic initiatives.
