Job summary

Ritchie Bros. is seeking an Equipment & Yard Supervisor to oversee movement and organization of all assets entering and leaving the yard, ensuring assets are displayed and accessible.

You will coordinate with Operations, Inspection, Sales and other teams, inspect assets, and update administrative systems, while supporting safety programs; travel to other sites as needed.

Join a multi-site auction environment with overtime, weekend hours, and a focus on accuracy and customer service.

Qualifications

• 5 years related work experience
• Have a valid, clean driver’s license
• Climb on and off large equipment and trucks
• Work both indoors and outdoors year-round
• Work regular overtime, including weekend hours at the auction sales
• Work extra hours for three weeks prior to each sale, during each sale, and for two weeks after each sale
• Travel to other auction sites when necessary

Responsibilities

• Responsible to manage, monitor, maintain, and implement the auction site’s Ritchie Bros. Inspection Operations (RBIO) Program standards, procedures, best practices, and guidelines and integrate those efforts with the yard layout and equipment set up procedures
• Maintain strong connectivity with the Designated On-Site Safety and Environmental Coordinator and promote a culture where the health and safety of our employees is top priority for all
• Assist in the development, evolution, and adherence of our EH&S policies and procedures including our efforts to achieve COR certification
• Oversee in refurbishing as it relates to the schedule, budget, quality control, and accounting of refurbishing operations
• Oversee RBIO quality control
• Assist on the road with inspections and appraisals, travel will happen
• Oversee the customer experience as it relates to Yard and DEI at the auction site
• Recommend best practices to improve Yard and DEI processes
• Oversee the production of sale advertising materials
• Monitor key performance indicators
• Integrate the efforts of the Operation’s Team with the objectives of the Sales team
• Actively support the RB Unreserved Commitment to Safety: to send everyone home, every day, the way they came to work, by taking personal responsibility for the your safety and safety of your team, co-workers,and customers
• Perform other duties as assigned

Job Description

The Equipment & Yard Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the movement and organization of all assets entering and leaving the yard. This includes identifying and verifying incoming and outgoing assets, loading and unloading of equipment and ensuring all equipment is displayed in an organized and accessible manner.

The Supervisor is also responsible for ensuring assets are properly inspected and accurately represented on Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers platforms. Once assets transact, they are responsible for coordinating and completing the timely exit of equipment and ensuring all related transactions are accurately updated within our administrative systems.

The Equipment & Yard Supervisor will work closely with Operations, Inspection, Sales, and other internal teams to ensure assets are processed efficiently, accurately in accordance with company standards and procedures.
