A healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) band 5 or above for a part-time role delivering community-based assessments in equipment management. The successful candidate will work both onsite and remotely, facilitating hospital discharges and crisis responses while ensuring patients have appropriate and safe equipment. Part-Time position 15 hours per week on a fortnightly rota. We are looking to recruit an experienced RN band 5 or above who is seeking part-time hours and a new challenge. This role will be central to delivering the Integrated Community Equipment Loan Service (ICELS) for Leicestershire and Rutland. ICELS supports health and social care services across LLR, facilitating hospital discharges, crisis responses to prevent hospital admissions, end-of-life and palliative care, and enabling individuals to remain independent at home. The service manages over 120,000 pieces of equipment annually for around 24,000 people. The service is contracted out to Medequip and operates from an office in Glen Parva, with a mix of remote and onsite work. The role involves a two-week rota pattern, working Thursday/Friday and Monday/Tuesday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with attendance required for meetings and training. The role involves reviewing patient equipment use, conducting assessments, and ensuring equipment appropriateness and safety. Proficiency in MS Word and Excel is required, along with excellent communication skills for liaising with health and social care professionals across LLR.
