Qualifications

  • Light machining and welding experience is considered an asset.
  • Must be able to lift 55lbs.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • High degree of mechanical aptitude and problem solving.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Disassemble, inspect, repair, reassemble and prepare products for testing according to specifications.
  • Disassembly and assembly of manufactured and repaired products to code specifications.
  • Maintain traceability of product through varying stages and keep records for document control.
  • Operate equipment such as drill presses and material handling tools to complete repairs.
  • Complete product checklists and travelers; assist in packaging of assembled products.
  • Participate in safety, quality assurance programs and continuous improvement of the QMS.

We’re looking for an Equipment Service Technician to join our team in our Nisku, Alberta Branch . In this role, you’ll work with a variety of tools and equipment to disassemble, inspect, repair, reassemble, test, and prepare products while making sure quality and safety standards are met every step of the way.

Position Summary:

The Equipment Service Technician will be responsible for disassemble, reassemble and preparation for testing parts, of pieces or products using a variety of tools and equipment according to required specifications and quality standards. While upholding the fundamental concepts of King’s Energy Services Ltd. Quality Management System.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Take direction and fulfill responsibilities from EQS Lead
  • Responsible for disassembly and assembly of manufactured and repaired products to manufacturers and or code specifications
  • Ensuring Kings work instructions are followed to ensure equipment meets stringent quality requirements
  • Maintain traceability of product through varying stages
  • Maintain all records associated with service process for the purpose of Document control
  • Complete product checklist, and travelers as required
  • Operating equipment to complete repairs, including drill presses and material handling equipment
  • Using various hand tools for disassembly, assembly and testing process
  • Assessing products through visual inspection to ensure compliance with codes, standards and work instructions
  • Complete sandblasting and painting
  • Assist with packaging of assembled products
  • Perform self-study training on QHSE Procedures
  • Initiate Nonconformance reports where inventoried, purchased, manufactured, serviced products do not meet Purchase Orders, Contract, Work Order requirements
  • Assists in updating and continuous improvement of the organizations QMS, HSE, ERP system
  • Demonstrate activity in the company safety policy’s
  • Compliance to specifications, jurisdictional requirements, contracts
Skills Training and Education:
  • Light machining and welding experience is considered an asset.
  • Familiarity with Service Rig equipment considered an asset.
  • Must be able to lift 55lbs.
  • Ability to work under pressure and within time constraints and to manage time effectively and efficiently.
  • Regularly possess manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together quickly and accurately
  • Have a high degree of mechanical aptitude to gain product knowledge with ease
  • Ability to be challenged and to strive for development within the position with the foresight and commitment to advance within the company.
  • Participation in Safety and Quality Assurance Programs.
  • Demonstrated understanding of QHSE Procedures that relate to the role
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively work within complex, fast-moving work environment under minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to take hands on approach in developing systems and procedures.
  • Functional understanding of imperial and metric systems.
  • Problem solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Must be able to effectively read, write, and speak English.
