This position is required to work in person at 3330 Harvester Road. Work location is subject to change at the discretion of the City due to operational demands.
Reporting to the Supervisor of Parks, the Equipment Operator position is responsible for the safe operation, maintenance and service of motorized vehicles and equipment relating to a variety of park maintenance activities. This Equipment Operator position will perform tasks related to waste collection, mowing and technical services in parks.
You have a high school diploma, or equivalent, and demonstrated experience in park maintenance. A valid DZ driver’s license is required with an acceptable driver’s abstract with no more than three (3) driving related convictions or an accumulation of no more than three (3) demerit points in the previous three (3) years prior to the date of hire, and/or no administrative driver license (ADLS) suspensions.
Candidates will be required to demonstrate their qualifications by passing a written, oral and/or practical examination, as part of the recruitment process.
