Job summary

Job description

O'Hanlon Paving, a proud member of The Fath Group of Companies, has been a key player in the Edmonton, road construction industry for over 65 years. We pride ourselves in the quality of our finished projects, our strong safety culture, and our opportunities for employee development. We are currently looking for an experienced Equipment Operator to work seasonally in a full-time capacity, in Edmonton.

We are looking for a worker to operate mixer along with other supporting equipment when required.

Responsibilities :

  • Equipment operating with some laborer duties when required
  • Perform a variety of tasks involving some manual labour
  • Work with minimal supervision
  • Perform daily safety and maintenance checks
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications :

  • Required experience in the operation of construction-related equipment
  • Ability to work regular work day with overtime when required
  • Open to training & learning safe operation of different equipment
  • Must possess a valid class 5 driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle to travel to work sites
  • Attention to detail, able to communicate in a courteous and professional manner
  • Ability to follow directions
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Willingness and ability to work extended hours and weekends when required
  • Valid safety certifications are an asset but not essential

Additional Information :

  • This position is eligible for paid over-time
  • Travel outside of Edmonton not expected
  • Training will be provided for various activities
  • Excellent wages with benefit eligibility after 3 months
  • Opportunity for continuing benefits during the winter months (off-season)
  • Potential on-call work opportunities during the winter months for snow removal and street sweeping
