Job description

Equipment Operators and Labourers are the foundation of our paving, base, and plant operations. The Seasonal Operator position requires equipment operation, which may include operating compaction equipment, tractors, loaders, or skid steers (training provided). The Operator is also responsible for performing a variety of tasks including shoveling, raking, cleaning, traffic control, safely lifting objects up to 50 lbs, and other hands-on tasks. We seek individuals with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn. Our ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

This position follows a 10 and 4 work schedule, requiring regular overtime, travel, and overnight stays.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform labour tasks such as raking, shoveling, and cleaning as directed by the Site Supervisor
  • Control traffic as directed (training provided)
  • Operate equipment safely and effectively according to OHS regulations
  • Perform regular equipment and truck inspections and general maintenance
  • Adhere strictly to safety requirements outlined in the Company Safety Manual
Qualifications and Values:
  • Minimum Class 5 Driver’s License
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to travel regularly and work overtime
