An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Sanitation Truck Operator to join their team. This role involves operating sanitation trucks, collecting waste, and ensuring compliance with local garbage bylaws. The ideal candidate will have a valid Class 'D' Ontario Driver's License and be physically capable of performing manual labor. Under the general supervision of the Supervisor – Solid Waste Collection, and the direction of the Leadhand, operates sanitation trucks and collects and loads garbage, refuse, and litter.
GENERAL: Must be proficient in operating trucks with a G.V.W. rating of 11,000 kgs and up. Must be reliable and able to understand, read, write, and speak English fluently. Must possess and maintain a valid Class “D” Ontario Drivers Licence, or equivalent with a ‘Z’ endorsement. Must meet the definition of a competent driver as defined by the Corporation.
SPECIFIC: Must be physically capable of performing manual laboring duties and be tactful and courteous.
