Position Overview

Applications are invited for the permanent position of Equipment Operator IV (Sewer Jet)/ Collection/Distribution Labourer in the Public Works Department.

This is a split position with the summer months being that of Labourer and the winter months being that of Equipment Operator IV (Sewer Jet).

Equipment Operator IV (Sewer Jet)

$31.91/hr Entry Level

$32.60/hr Level I

C/D Labourer (Permanent Rates)

$28.29/hr Entry

$28.92/hr After 1 year rate

$29.73 Level I

Required Qualifications

Qualifications, special conditions, training and experience are as per the attached job description and include:

Entry Level For EO IV

• Grade 12
• Class 3A license,
• Class I Certification in Wastewater Collection
• Equipment Operator Practical Certification
  
  

Level I – Entry Level Qualifications, Class I certification in Wastewater Collection and Water Distribution, Fireman’s Certificate and Rigging and Hoisting Certificate

Entry Level for Collection/Distribution Labourer

• Grade 12
• Driver’s License.
  
  

Level I – Within the first 6 months must write and pass Class I Certification in Water Distribution Exam, Equipment Operator certification, Fireman’s Certification and a Hoisting Certification.

Within the first 2 months must obtain a Class 3A Driver’s License.
