Job summary

Acuren Wind is seeking an experienced Equipment Operator (Class 3) to support our growing wind turbine inspections across Canada. You will travel to remote worksites nationwide, supporting field technicians and performing pre-operation checks, maintenance, and documentation.

Qualifications

  • Experience operating heavy equipment and stabilizing loads.
  • Ability to drive and maneuver large vehicles in diverse conditions.
  • Proficient in maintaining accurate driving and equipment logs.
  • Willingness to perform physically demanding tasks such as climbing and lifting.

Responsibilities

  • Drive and transport aerial access vehicles and equipment to sites, adhering to road safety rules.
  • Perform pre-operational checks to ensure equipment is safe and functional.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs on aerial access vehicles.
  • Follow safety protocols while operating lifts and working at height.
  • Complete equipment logs and safety checklists accurately.
  • Set up and stabilize equipment at sites per manufacturer guidelines and site conditions.
  • Assist with inspections, installations, and maintenance at height when required.

Job description

Acuren Wind is seeking an experienced Equipment Operator (Class 3) to support our growing operations across Canada. In this role, you'll travel to remote worksites nationwide, working alongside our field technicians to safely support wind blade inspections and repairs. Position Details
  • Regular Full-Time Position
  • 6 weeks on/1 week off Rotation
  • Start date: August 2026
  • Salary Range: $40.00 - $48.00 (based upon experience)
Responsibilities
  • Drive and transport truck mounted aerial access vehicles and equipment to various job sites in compliance with road safety regulations
  • Perform pre-operational checks on the equipment to ensure it is safe and functional before use
  • Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs on the aerial access vehicles.
  • Follow all safety protocols and work procedures while operating the lift and working at height.
  • Complete necessary documentation such as equipment logs and safety checklists.
  • Set up and stabilize equipment at job sites following manufacturer guidelines and site conditions
  • Assist with elevated tasks such as inspections, installations, repairs, and maintenance on structures or equipment
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Comprehensive understanding of heavy equipment, including setup, stabilization, and operation
  • Skilled in driving and maneuvering large vehicles in various conditions, including urban, rural, and off-road environments
  • Ability to manage and maintain accurate records, including driving logs, equipment inspections, and maintenance reports
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as climbing, lifting, and working at heights
Education
  • Class 3 driver’s license or Valid DZ license (in Ontario) with a clean driving record
  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
