Job summary

RFNOW Inc. in Virden, MB is seeking motivated individuals to join our Construction Team.

You will participate in day-to-day fiber internet infrastructure construction, including preparation and installation, with emphasis on safety and teamwork. Key responsibilities include equipment maintenance, daily inspections, safe material handling, site attendance and paperwork, and collaboration on fiber optic projects.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
• Experience with heavy equipment for underground construction is an asset but training may be provided.
• Valid Class 5 license (Class 1 or 3 considered an asset).
• Experience with utility locates and working around existing utilities.
• Must be currently authorized to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Clean, lubricate, and maintain equipment.

• Secure special attachments to equipment.
• Assist with general labour duties when needed, to complete fiber optic construction projects.
• Transport materials to and from the jobsite, including loading and unloading.
• Using proper tie-down procedures, secure materials to be transported to ensure the safety and security of the load.
• Ensure that all work activities are carried out in a safe and efficient manner, and in compliance with company PPE standards.
• Complete all required accurate paperwork on a daily basis, including daily site meeting, drivers' logs, equipment daily inspection forms, and attendance tracking.
• Other reasonable duties as assigned.

• Must be currently authorized to work in Canada
