Job summary

GFL Environmental is seeking an Equipment Operator for our Winnipeg, MB location to join a safety‑driven, team oriented team. You will operate a front-end loader, forklift and skid steer to bale and load material, perform daily equipment inspections and assist with routine maintenance.

Qualifications

• Successfully operate a loader to move material.
• Ability to operate other heavy equipment is an asset.
• Ability to obtain Transfer Station/Landfill Operations Certification if needed.
• Demonstrate ability to follow instructions with little supervision.
• Lift/pull/push up to 25 pounds frequently, up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Key Responsibilities

• Experience operating Front-End Loader / Forklift / Skid steer
• Operate a loader to bale and load material.
• Perform inspection and maintenance checks of equipment daily.
• Grease/lubricate equipment, check and add fluids to equipment daily
• Maintain appearance of the grounds and facility.

• Must be able to frequently lift/push/pull up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds.

Shift schedule 5 am - 3 pm, Monday to Friday with occasional Saturday if needed.
