The Opportunity

We’re seeking a Rental Equipment Fleet Manager in the Lower Mainland to lead a large, multi-location fleet (300+ units). In this pivotal role, you’ll shape the entire fleet lifecycle—from acquisition to resale—while driving efficiency, performance, and customer satisfaction.

Reporting to the Director of Sales, you’ll work closely with both the Director and VP to shape fleet strategy, mentor Rentals Coordinators, and collaborate across service, sales, and yard teams.

  • Compensation & Perks: Competitive salary, performance-based incentives, a unique green vehicle rebate, and a flexible, community-driven workplace.
  • Growth & Development: Professional development opportunities, paid training, and support to grow your career.
  • Tools & Innovation: Access to innovative, industry-leading equipment brands (Bobcat, DEVELON, JCB) and advanced CRM / ERP systems.
  • Purpose & Sustainability: Be part of a company that invests in the future through advanced systems, electrification, and sustainability programs.
What You’ll Do
  • Optimize fleet planning to maximize utilization and minimize downtime.
  • Oversee procurement and commissioning of new equipment.
  • Ensure fleet maintenance and technical standards are met.
  • Lead logistics and yard management across multiple locations.
  • Protect assets and manage recovery processes.
  • Manage decommissioning and resale / disposal of equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with CSA, ANSI, and DOT standards.
  • Drive financial performance and deliver accurate reporting.
  • Lead and mentor Rentals Coordinators, building a strong team culture.
  • Travel locally for client meetings; occasional US travel as required.
  • Take on additional projects and growth opportunities as they arise.
What You’ll Bring
  • Proven success managing large, multi-location fleets (300+ units).
  • In-depth knowledge of construction and material handling equipment (forklifts, aerial lifts, excavators).
  • Expertise in the full equipment lifecycle—from planning to resale.
  • Strong analytical skills, including fleet utilization analysis.
  • Familiarity with PM scheduling, repair tracking, and warranty processes.
  • Proficiency in fleet management software, ERP platforms, and telematics / GPS tools.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and compliance (CSA, ANSI, DOT) and inspection schedules.
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills—experienced leading teams and working cross-functionally.
  • Highly organized, process-driven, and committed to continuous improvement.
  • Skilled in damage billing, check-in / out processes, and equipment readiness.
  • Technically savvy with a focus on improving system usage and data accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and decision-making abilities.
  • Valid driver’s license and flexibility to travel between locations.
Education & Experience
  • High school diploma required.
  • Post-secondary education in business, operations, or a related field is an asset.
  • Equivalent work experience will also be considered.
