Job summary

United Rentals, the world’s largest equipment rental provider, is seeking a Seasonal Equipment Associate for our Heat Division in Calgary. You will support Gas Fitters and branch staff with labor, equipment prep, and safe operating practices to meet customer needs.

This role emphasizes safety, teamwork and customer service, with opportunities for advancement into our Driver and Service Technician programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Strong communication, multitasking and teamwork skills are essential.
• A focus on safety and customer service is required.
• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

• Check Heat equipment for damage, mileage and fuel level upon return.
• Provide labor support and field assistance to Gas Fitters.
• Inspect equipment for safety decals and proper working order.
• Clean equipment and maintain work area.
• Load/unload equipment and prepare for rental.

As a Seasonal Equipment Associate at United Rentals' Heat Division, you will perform a variety of manual tasks to support smooth branch operations. Your primary responsibility will be to provide labor support and field assistance to Gas Fitters and other branch personnel to help meet customer needs and ensure efficient service delivery. Excellence in this challenging and rewarding position paves the way for advancement opportunities into our Driver and Service Technician development programs.

What you'll do:

• Check Heat equipment for damage, mileage and fuel level upon return to the branch
• Provide labor support and field assistance to Gas Fitters
• Inspect rental equipment for safety decals, safety compliance, and ensure that equipment is in good working order
• Clean all equipment and maintain a clean work area
• Load and unload rental equipment, and prepare equipment for rental
• Checkout and demonstrate equipment for customers as well as drive a delivery truck to pick-up and drop-off equipment
• Other duties assigned as needed

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
• Effective communication, multi-tasking and strong teamwork skills
• Diligent attention to safety
• Superior customer service skills
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.
