We are currently advertising for two separate roles:

(B) One full time position (5-day week), though flexible part time options would be considered for the right candidate.
About us
Stables Equine Practice, located near Wells in the beautiful Somerset countryside, remains independent as part of the University of Bristol Veterinary school. We are a 7-vet ambulatory practice with a purpose-built clinic, including stables for outpatients, stocks, large examination room, trot up, menage and lunge arena, with excellent modern, portable equipment. We have a loyal and varied client base, and our caseload varies from pet ponies to sports horses.
What we offer:
We are a fun, friendly & cohesive team, with most vets having worked here for over 7 years. We pride ourselves on developing excellent vet-client relationships. We have two certificate holders, offering good support and clinical back up.
A work vehicle, phone and iPad will be provided. There is freedom to work up your own cases with support from others within the team if desired, the ability to internally refer to colleagues and free choice of excellent local referral hospitals. We offer a 1 in 8 OOH rota and generous time off and as part of the University of Bristol our teams have access to clinical research and career development opportunities not usually available in general equine practice.
Who we are looking for:
We are looking for an enthusiastic team player who enjoys a varied general practice caseload. This role would suit someone wanting to build their own caseload and develop clinical interests within a fully supportive team. We form part of the ambulatory rotation for final year University of Bristol students and take pride in providing them with good quality, hands-on experience, so a desire to teach and coach students is essential.
