Job summary

Great Canadian Entertainment in Ontario is seeking a Maintenance Worker to perform track cleaning, snow removal, and general property upkeep, including mowing, trimming, and litter pickup. You will operate tractors, dump trucks, loaders, and other equipment to keep grounds safe and functional.

Applicants should have a valid driver's license and be comfortable working around horses. Training in safe equipment operation is required, with priority given to those familiar with the horse racing

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s Licence.
• Health & Safety awareness.
• Safe equipment training requirement.
• Able to operate loaders and all equipment.
• Must be able to work around horses.
• Some knowledge of the horse racing industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work the track ie screen, pack, open using tractors and or trucks.
• Winter use dump trucks to remove snow.
• Work loader, Grader to clean up and put stone down in dump trucks.
• Look after all property maintenance including grass cutting, weed whacking, trimming bushes, tree removal and pruning, watering flowers, picking up garbage on property.
• Clean ship and Lasix barn, muck stalls.
• Power wash all tracks equipment and vehicles.
• Build up screens (welding).
• Snow ploughing, salting roads and walkways, shovelling sidewalks and clearing snow on all property.
• Keeping Maintenance shop clean and organized.
• Any other duties as assigned.
