Job summary

Woodbine Entertainment Group is seeking a Labourer/Equipment Operator to maintain grounds, roads, parking areas, stables and buildings. You will safely operate a wide range of vehicles and equipment, perform circle checks and report any defects to supervision.

The role requires a valid DZ license, ability to work shift hours including weekends and holidays, and a minimum high school diploma. You may be required to travel to other tracks as needed; probation pay is $28.62 per hour, increasing to

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid class DZ driver's license.
• Solid knowledge operating all equipment required for maintenance.
• General knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety procedures and WHMIS.
• Basic verbal communication skills.
• Basic interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment for maintenance of grounds, roads, parking lots, stalls and buildings.
• Perform Circle Check and report defects to Supervisor.
• Carry out deliveries and pickups on and off premises.
• Conduct routine cleaning, maintenance and storage of equipment.
• Respond to emergencies and follow track procedures for horse-related incidents.
