Reporting to the Clinical Coordinator, the EPI Group and Family Therapist, as part of a multi-disciplinary team, provides comprehensive group psychoeducation and therapy services, including education, assessment, intervention, and follow-up for clients and families in the EPI Program. The role involves collaboration with team members, education, research activities, and community engagement.
Education and Experience: Master's Degree in Social Work, Clinical Counselling, or relevant health discipline. One year recent experience in psychiatry and two years in group and family therapy. Eligible for registration with relevant professional body. Valid BC Driver’s License and access to vehicle.
Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of mental illness and treatment modalities, psychotherapy skills, ability to educate and collaborate, develop and deliver groups and presentations, knowledge of substance misuse, pharmacological issues, family development stages, adolescent mental health, effective referral skills, independent and team work, research capabilities, effective communication, organizational skills, and proficiency with related equipment and software.
