About the Role

This is an exciting time to join our Cardiology team as we launch new and innovative products to the Electrophysiology (EP) market - one of the fastest-growing areas in med tech. Boston Scientific has an array of products and therapies to treat patients with atrial fibrillation (AFib) including Radiofrequency, and our Pulsed Field ablation therapy, FARAPULSE. Currently, we offer technologies such as 3D Mapping and Navigation systems, Radiofrequency Ablation catheters, Diagnostic Catheters, EP recording systems, and Intracardiac Access Sheaths for diagnosing and treating heart rhythm disorders.

The EP Mapping/Clinical Specialist II will spend their first year gaining expertise in Boston Scientific technology while obtaining extensive professional development to ensure readiness for success in this hands-on, field-based role. Once training is complete, the EP Mapping/Clinical Specialist II will provide expert clinical product and technical assistance and training to physicians, EP Lab Staff, and sales representatives on the effective and safe use of the Boston Scientific Mapping System during case procedures within an assigned geography, and in a manner that leads to meeting and exceeding business goals.

Your responsibilities
  • Maintain advanced clinical knowledge of EP diagnostic and ablation technologies, EP mapping and recording systems.
  • Attend procedures in cardiac CV/EP labs of hospital accounts for clinical support and development efforts of BSC AF Solutions products including the Boston Scientific mapping system, diagnostic and therapeutic catheters.
  • Educate customers on the merits and proper clinical usage of AF Solutions products by creating and delivering presentations and demonstrations using a wide variety of formats and platforms to keep customers abreast of the latest product, therapy, and technology developments.
  • Meet with existing and potential customers (e.g., physicians, physician office groups at hospitals) by traveling to identify clinical needs, goals, and constraints related to patient care and to discuss and train them on how company products can help achieve their goals. Travel up to 25%.
  • Develop relationships with hospital personnel at all levels to identify key decision makers and facilitate future sales.
  • Respond to customer needs and complaints by developing creative and feasible solutions with other personnel (e.g., sales, clinical research, marketing, technical support).
  • Coordinate territory and other BSC sales management and representatives’ efforts to build strategic partnerships that support area and organizational objectives.
  • Develop relationships with key referring physicians and others to promote market development and growth.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 year of 3D cardiac mapping system experience or minimum of 5 years in medical device sales, clinical electrophysiology or equivalent education and experience.
  • Must demonstrate technical aptitude and the ability to discuss and explain complex technical product information.
Preferred Qualifications
  • NASPE/IBHRE CEPS certification.
  • Work experience in Atrial Fibrillation/Cardiac Mapping.
  • Diploma in Cardiovascular Technology.

The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.

Compensation for hourly, non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).

Compensation for salaried, non-sales roles may also include variable compensation, i.e., annual bonus target and long-term incentives (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).

Compensation for sales roles is governed by Sales Incentive Compensation Plan (which includes certain annual non-discretionary incentives based on predetermined objectives).
