Collège Boréal is seeking a CEO to lead the SESS in Ontario, overseeing operations and strategic direction in various domains including finances and health information. This influential role requires strong leadership and strategic planning skills along with experience managing community relationships and securing funding to expand the organization's impact.
Key areas of accountability include providing strategic direction in all corporate and administrative functions for the organization including but not limited to, finances, procurement, health information, technology services, legal and privacy affairs. Also, the CEO is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the SESS including managing staff, volunteers and resources.
More specifically, the duties include:
Report to the Board of directors on internal and external issues that affect the SESS. The CEO serves as a bridge between the Board of Directors and the staff ensuring effective services, communication and collaboration.
Set the vision, mission and long-term goals for the SESS, including the development of a strategic plan.
Lead the work of the Financial and Administrative Manager for budgetary planning, outcomes of the organization including audits and government reports, and the allocation of the SESS’s resources.
Lead the work of Operations and Client Services manager regarding patient care activities.
Build and maintain relationships and work collaboratively with other organizations, community groups and stakeholders such as Ontario Health, Univi, and others to expand the SESS’s reach and impact.
Support health care professionals in their roles as service providers and educators.
Ensure staffing meets patient needs in a fiscally responsible manner.
8. Develop policies and procedures to meet the goals of the SESS and Ontario Health.
9.Liaise with provincial, federal and territorial government agencies to secure funding. Responsible for writing and securing grants to support the SESS’s work.
10.Evaluate new and existing programs and services in relation to their value and efficiency.
11.Responsible for maintaining the SESS’s website in both languages and implementing digital tools as required.
12. Represent the SESS in public forums, media, and community events to raise awareness and support for its mission.
13. The CEO will be responsible for advocating for the SESS’s services and promoting its work to policy makers and the public.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Board of Directors.
