Overview

As an Environmental Test Technician, you will be at the forefront of validating the durability and performance of our products in various environmental conditions. You will ensure that our aerospace and defense solutions meet stringent standards required for mission-critical applications. This is a hands-on role that requires precision, technical expertise, and a collaborative spirit.

Responsibilities
  1. Develop test specifications, methods, and procedures from drawings, standard work, and diagrams.
  2. Assist in preparing technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems.
  3. Calibrate, improve, and perform maintenance on test equipment.
  4. Read and interpret wire diagrams for environmental chambers.
  5. Repair chambers/vibe tables, temperature cycling, thermal shock, salt fog, humidity tests.
  6. Use data acquisition software, including LabVIEW, for real-time data analysis.
  7. Design and develop test setups and fixtures to optimize testing procedures and ensure accuracy.
  8. May act as a team leader of a small group of test technicians within their own functional area.
  9. Maintain required certifications.
  10. Recommend 6S improvements.
Qualifications
Minimum:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of test technician experience in a manufacturing work environment.
  • Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Timekeeping system, ERP system, Routing, etc.)
  • Detail-oriented with good manual and eye dexterity (precise).
  • This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a "US Person" under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Preferred:
  • Associates Degree or Technical Degree in Electrical Technology.
  • Military Electronic Schools or Electronic Training from military.
  • Active Security Clearance.
  • Experience in defense or aerospace industry.
  • 4 years experience as a Test Technician in a manufacturing environment or in the military.
  • Ability to set up and operate a Phase Network Analyzer (PNA) or Vector Network Analyzer (VNA).
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and embrace new challenges.
  • Willingness to take on diverse projects and work with different teams.
Salary Range

Environmental Test Tech V (Senior): $37.52/hr to $56.28/hr. Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function, education, and experience of the successful candidate.
