Job summary

City of Edmonton is hiring for a position supporting the operation of landfill gas management and groundwater monitoring at EWMC and related sites. You will assist with sampling, data collection, and coordination with maintenance and consultants.

The role requires a two-year technologist diploma, experience in waste management, and CET eligibility. Mandatory PPE safety compliance, Alberta driver’s license, and a mix of indoor/outdoor work with potential stand-by shifts are included.

Qualifications

• Two-year Diploma in Civil or Chemical Engineering Technologist program.
• At least 2 years' experience in Waste Management, preferably landfill operation with environmental sampling/monitoring.
• Eligible to be recognized as CET with ASET.

Responsibilities

• Assist operation of Landfill Gas management system (well field, condensate, contractor coordination).
• Support Groundwater Diversion System and Leachate Collection System operations.
