Overview

Project Technologist | Hazardous Materials | St. John’s, NL

Today is the day to boost your career! Pinchin is seeking a Project Technologist to join our team in our St. John’s office. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Project Technologist will help execute a wide range of field sampling programs including air monitoring, hazardous materials assessment and sampling, workplace monitoring, safety inspections and audits. You will assist in developing technical reports, health and safety documentation, and liaise with clients to ensure their needs and goals are met.

Responsibilities
  • In-house training (office & field) on sampling programs and procedures.
  • Conduct onsite air sampling programs.
  • Conduct site investigations – asbestos, mould, mercury, PCBs, lead, etc.
  • Conduct field work, including visits to sites and supervision of remediation activities.
  • Interpret and analyze sample results in relation to legislative requirements and industry-accepted guidelines.
  • Summarize, collate and interpret results and findings of field investigations and assessments for technical reports.
  • Prepare drawings and construction review reports.
  • Manage time of projects effectively and efficiently.
  • Liaise with clients and sub-contractors to ensure health, safety and hygiene needs are addressed and met.
  • Develop and maintain positive client relationships.
