Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Perform contaminated site investigations, groundwater monitoring, remediation, and reclamation activities.
  • Oversee drilling types in soil and bedrock; install groundwater monitoring wells.
  • Supervise remedial excavations, reclamation equipment, and project cleanups.
  • Coordinate field contractors and equipment across multiple projects.
  • Collaborate with project managers and regulatory agencies on progress and scope changes.
  • Assist in planning ground disturbance and reviewing disturbance packages.

You will be part of a strong team of committed professionals.The compensation range for this role is $28 t o $45 , commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic locationTo thrive in this role, you’ll be comfortable taking ownership of the following responsibilities:Perform simple to complex contaminated site investigations, including drilling assessments, groundwater monitoring, remediation activities, and reclamation activities involving:k- tests, elevation surveys, and sampling using a variety of methods (e.g., peristaltic pumps, hydrasleeves , bailers, etc.)supervising a variety of drilling types in soil and bedrock (e.g., solid stem, hollow stem , etc. ) and installing GW monitoring wellssupervising remedial excavations and trucking, confirmatory sampling, and operating remediation systemssupervising reclamation equipment and performing reclamation assessments on agricultural landSupervise and coordinate field contractors and equipment for a variety of projectsPrepare for ground disturbance including reviewing ground disturbance packages, and supervising line locators and hydrovacsCollaborate with project managers and technical advisors and communicate project progress, execution, and scope changesManage project related timelines and budgetsLearn, understand, and apply Alberta and Saskatchewan regulations related to assessment, remediation, and reclamation of oil and gas sites and ensure regulatory requirements are met as part of project executionProactively engage and participate in development opportunities to support your career growthThis role will require approximately 85% of time to be in the fieldYour E xpertise and S kills These requirements reflect the knowledge, skills and abilities that help you do your best work here.Ability to travel up to 25%Ability to interface with cross-functional teams and all levels of personnel/managementAbility to work independently and with minimal supervisionAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships within a matrix reporting structure1 – 3 years of related experienceA degree or technical diploma in environmental science, geology, hydrogeology, or engineeringExhibit a strong safety mindsetSelf-motivated and possess strong communication skillsFamiliarity with spill response would be considered an assetEligibility for registration in or maintaining a good standing in a professional organization would be considered an assetA valid and clean driver’s license with no restrictionsWork E nvironment and P hysical R equirementsThe physical and environmental requirements below reflect what’s typically needed to perform the essential functions of this role safely and effectively.
