Position Overview

The successful candidates must have the following qualifications:

  • Completion of senior secondary school or its equivalent.
  • Completion of a post-secondary degree such as environmental science, natural resource science, or courses with a focus on environmental management or other related discipline(s).
  • Minimum of six months’ previous professional experience related to the collection, maintenance, and manipulation of environmental data.
  • Proficient in intermediate Word, intermediate Excel, and basic PowerPoint, as demonstrated through testing(70% pass rate required).
  • Valid BC Driver's Licence - Class 5.

For new hires, and for those working in designated positions of trust, including those working directly with vulnerable persons, no formal offer of employment will be made until an applicant completes a police information check. These are CUPE local 900 positions.

There are two temporary positions which will be filled. One ending February 2026 or return of incumbent and the other ending November 14, 2025 or return of incumbent. Both positions will receive 14% in lieu of all benefits, vacation, stat holidays, and health time.

More than one may be hired.
