Qualifications

Position: Environmental Technician

Location: North Vancouver, British Columbia (office-based with travel throughout British Columbia and Alberta)

Responsibilities :

  • Implement aquatic baseline studies, operational and compliance monitoring programs, impact assessments, and habitat offsetting/restoration initiatives.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver programs in accordance with local, provincial, and federal regulations.
  • Participate in field programs focused on environmental monitoring and assessment of aquatic habitats across British Columbia and Alberta.
  • Compile, manage, and interpret environmental data; support technical report development.
  • Assist in proposal development, project scheduling, and budget management.
  • Work extensively in the field, occasionally in remote locations.

Qualifications :

  • Environmental diploma or working towards a higher degree in environmental sciences.
  • 1-2 years of relevant work experience, preferably in a consulting environment.
  • Knowledge of federal and provincial environmental legislation and impact assessment processes.
  • Valid driver’s license, experience driving pickup trucks, and ability to be added to company insurance policy.
