A leading gold mining company in Red Lake, Ontario is hiring an Environmental Monitor. You will oversee environmental activities, ensuring compliance with regulations and site standards. The ideal candidate should have a post-secondary education and 2-3 years of technical experience in the environmental field or mining industry. This position involves both fieldwork and data management in a dynamic work environment.
The Great Bear project is a development-stage asset located in the renowned and prolific Red Lake mining district, and represents one of the most exciting recent gold discoveries globally. The project has excellent potential to become a top-tier deposit that could support a large, long-life mine complex. Kinross’ comprehensive exploration and development program aims to support the vision of a quality, high-grade, open-pit mine and a longer-term, sizeable underground mine.
You will be responsible for monitoring activities in the environmental department to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and site standards at the Kinross Great Bear site.
Post-secondary education in a related field and a minimum of 2-3 years of technical experience in the environmental field, and/or in the mining industry.
This position is on an 8X6 rotation and is located in Red Lake, Ontario.
